Two Dukes are Better Than One

Two Dukes are Better Than One - Lorna James I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

In the quest to complete challenges, I chose this book for my menage category. It was a little dirty, though frankly not too dirty and light. There was an attempt at a plot to keep the book moving along and the sex scenes actually stayed quite fresh. Considering this was erotica, I think that can be an impressive feat.

My usual issues with erotica exist. I don't understand the relationship between the two men. I understand Sophia's attraction to them, sure, seductive and powerful. How are they best friends though? Why? What benefit does this relationship have to Huxley & why can he afford to forego heirs? (And frankly, the historical aspect of this had very little to do with the book|) My usual issues with menage exist. I have trouble understanding the dynamic and why it works well for the three of them. Yes, Huxley was sweeter, and yes, Stone was more wicked...

All in all, an entertaining enough read about a "lusty virgin" and the two dukes who show her ecstasy. (Note also, this was a novella.)
